Sonora: A sandstorm wreaked havoc in the Mexican state of Sonora, with strong winds uprooting trees and igniting power lines.

According to foreign media reports, on the evening of July 20, the city in the Sonora region of Mexico turned red and everything turned dusty, when a heartbreaking sandstorm engulfed it.

In the videos that have emerged, it can be seen how terrifying the sandstorm was, trees were uprooted by strong winds, power lines caught on fire, and the dust storm disrupted transportation.

Several highways were closed in Sonora after the storm brought traffic to a standstill. The storm also damaged high voltage poles, public lighting poles and telephone poles.
