Rawalpindi: High Court Rawalpindi Bench Senior Judge Justice Shahid Jameel Khan ordered to hold the election of Chairman PCB within a week.
The court also issued a detailed decision and declared that the management committee should issue the notification of the board of governors within 15 days and conduct the election of the chairman board.
In a detailed verdict, the court said that the sports structure in the country has been destroyed due to political interference, sports is a healthy pastime and everyone should show sportsmanship.
The court said that it is also a huge source of income, political interference in it will not be acceptable, political interference has seriously damaged sports.
It should be noted that the petition against the PCB Board of Governors was filed by Rawalpindi Cricket Association President Naveed Abbasi. The position was taken in the application that the top four teams of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy are included in the board of governors, the top four teams include teams from Rawalpindi and Karachi, the board formed on June 22 includes teams from Larkana, Hyderabad and Dera Murad Jamali.
On the other hand, PCB’s lawyer Imtiaz Ali Siddiqui also appeared in the court. He said that the federal government has formed a new board of governors on June 22.
