Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented the IMF agreement document in the National Assembly.
Speaking in the House, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says that we are trying our best that there should be a ninth review, the agreement document with the IMF has been presented in the National Assembly, this work is being done to maintain transparency.
He says that all the documents are also available on the website of the Ministry of Finance, I am also sending copies of all these documents to the library of the National Assembly Secretariat.
Ishaq Dar said that the country’s economy faced difficulties due to the poor policies of the previous government.
He said that he is presenting the details of the agreement with the IMF in the House, the purpose of which is that the Members of Parliament can know the details.
The finance minister said that the ninth review of the IMF was in November 2022, the tenth review was to be held in February 2023, while the eleventh review was to be held in 2023.
He said that due to the credibility gap, the ninth review was delayed, the budget came for 2023-24 but the ninth review was not done.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that I assure that no tax will be imposed on agriculture and real estate, Pakistan’s reserves have reached 14 billion dollars.
He said that the private banks have reserves of 5.3 billion dollars, 8.7 billion dollars are in the reserves of the State Bank, they are trying to leave the country economically stable.
