Senior Pakistani actress Nadia Jameel has revealed that as a child she was sexually harassed by her domestic workers.
Actress Nadia Jameel has given a special interview to the American broadcasting organization ‘VOA Urdu’ a few days ago.
Nadia Jameel has spoken openly about children being subjected to sexual harassment in their own homes, during the interview, the actor has also revealed the bitter incidents that happened to him.
Nadia Jameel has to say in this interview that during her childhood she was sexually harassed by the servants of her own house and at that time no one listened to her words and complaints, she was neither given importance nor listened to.
Nadia Jameel says that she kept the unpleasant incidents that happened to her a secret for many years, but when the incident of Kim Sin Zainab happened in Kasur area of Punjab some time ago, she decided to share her words.
The actress further says that she did not share these incidents to get attention but she did it to give a message to the children to forget everything and go ahead, read and play.
During the interview, the actress also shared ways to prevent sexual harassment of children.
Nadia Jameel said that in order to prevent such incidents, there is a need for general education, eradication of poverty and raising social awareness in the country. To prevent such incidents, parents also have to play a role. Parents should inform their children about the bad habits and good behaviors of people (good touch, bad touch) and listen carefully to everything children say and give them their time.
The actress advised during the interview that if a child is shy at home, always silent, does not talk to anyone, then pay more attention to that child, ask them about their heart and even if that child does not talk, then take him to a psychologist.
It should be noted that senior actress Nadia Jameel has also talked about the incidents of sexual harassment that happened to her from childhood to youth.
In the past, she had mentioned in her tweets that she has also been a victim of sexual harassment from childhood to adolescence.
