The building will house offices related to the gemstone industry, the 15-storey building has an area of 7.10 lakh square feet per floor.

Thus, this building has surpassed the Pentagon, the headquarters of the US Department of Defense in Arlington, which has a floor area of 6.5 million square feet.

Surat Diamond Bourse is an 81.9 meter tall building, which has cost Rs 32 billion for its construction.

The building has offices ranging from 300 square feet to 25,000 square feet, where more than 4,700 offices can be opened while 65,000 people can be employed.
