Karachi: Pakistani singer Aima Baig has landed in a new controversy with the release of her new song ‘Funkari’.
Aima Baig’s song is being loved by the fans as soon as it is released, while the singer has claimed that she has written the lyrics of the new song along with Shakeel Sohail.
The singer said in a recent interview that it took her three years to write the song and she was nervous about releasing her first solo track.
Pakistani singer Shiraz Appal has refuted Aima Baig’s statement and claimed that ‘Funkari’ was completely written by him.
According to Shiraz Appal, her name is also present in Universal Music India and the singer’s YouTube credits, but Aima Baig has forgotten to credit her.
In an Instagram post, the singer wrote that Shakeel Sohail had passed away six months before the song was written, ‘Funkari’ was entirely written, composed and produced by him while Aima took only three hours to sing it.
