Lahore: The Punjab government detained Parvez Elahi for one month under the 3MPO An appeal was also filed against the security bail decision.
Pervez Elahi, anti-corruption and others have been made parties in the Punjab government’s appeal against the single bench’s decision to grant security bail to former Punjab Chief Minister and PTI President Pervez Elahi.
It has been argued in the petition that the single bench gave a decision contrary to the facts on the petition of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. Pervaiz Elahi is being investigated by the concerned investigating agencies as per the law. In the judgement, the single bench has ignored the legal requirements.
It has been requested from the Lahore High Court that the court declares the decision of the single bench null and void and orders immediate suspension of the decision.
Pervez Elahi’s plea against 30-day detention was disposed of
Apart from this, a hearing was held on Parvez Elahi’s request against the 30-day detention in the Lahore High Court.
The lawyer said that the bail has been granted in all the cases against Parvez Elahi, the detention orders of Parvez Elahi were issued on the basis of malice, we have applied to the Deputy Commissioner for his release.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi told the lawyer of the Punjab government that you are not doing well, you are spreading wrong tradition, what the state does, it also suffers, you should have evidence to keep the detention.
The court told Parvez Elahi’s lawyer that we ask the Punjab government to listen to your request and take a decision.
Parvez Elahi’s lawyer withdrew the application against the detention, then Justice Ali Baqir Najafi disposed of the application on the basis of withdrawal.
