Karachi: MQM Pakistan convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that efforts are being made to disrupt the peace of Karachi in the name of MQM London.

Addressing a press conference with Mustafa Kamal, Farooq Sattar, Anees Qaim Khani and members of the coordination committee at the party’s temporary center in Bahadurabad, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that citizens should not be part of negative activities and understand the sensitivity of the situation in the city. We established peace in Karachi in 5 years. We have always raised our voice on the problems of this city. The city is looking forward to a bias-free census.

He said that next month the current government and assemblies will complete their term. In the 2018 elections, an attempt was made to bring artificial change by taking away seats from MQM Karachi under a systematic conspiracy. Despite the restrictions imposed on MQM in the last 5 years, we sacrificed a lot, we did not let the peace in Karachi deteriorate by sacrificing our part. He took the path of the courts for justice.

The MQM leader said that if the assemblies and governments will end, we will repeat our demands. Many of our demands are still seeking justice. MQM is the original MQM of Pakistan. On August 22, 2016, we made political history in Pakistan. For the peace and security of the country, we said goodbye to our leader.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that MQM held a rally in the city of London in the past few days, there is a conspiracy behind it. We have been putting our demands before the nation and the media. Dozens of people are endangering the peace of this city in the name of MQM London. We have established peace in Karachi in these 5 years, always raised our voice on the problems of the city. We demand the institutions to Do justice to the people of Sindh.

He said that the population of Karachi is around 3 crores. We will not accept any census less than this. People of Karachi should be courageous and not be part of any negative activities. A few dozen people are trying to disrupt the peace of the city. There is a demand from the institutions to do justice to the urban areas of Sindh. The city of 3 million people is waiting for a transparent census. We want such elections to be accepted by the whole of Pakistan. Do it.

He said that he is addressing the PML-G and the federal government that we have supported you in solving every problem, we have fulfilled our promises. The wounds of this city are still fresh, yet we are with you. We are waiting for our demands to be fulfilled. Police have been imported in Karachi. The outgoing government is talking about giving jobs to 30,000 to 35,000 people in municipalities. Institutions are asked to play a role in thwarting this conspiracy against democracy.
