Karachi: A police officer was killed by his elder brother and nephews in Lyari area.
The body of the constable, who died of gunshot wounds and torture in Chakiwara police station area Lyari Coal Warehouse Golestan Colony, was brought to the Civil Hospital, where he was identified as 35-year-old Ismail Khan son of Maqbool Khan. The deceased was posted at Garden Police Headquarters South.
According to Saleem, the brother of the victim, Ismail was shot and killed by his elder brother Bakht Zamin and his sons. After killing Ismail, Bakht Zameen and his children set his motorcycle on fire.
He said that since 2016, we have a property dispute with our brother. Even before this, our brother Bakht Zamin attacked me and Ismail. Ismail told the police officers about the matter several times but no help was provided. The deceased officer had joined the police in 2008. He has 5 children and the eldest daughter is 11 years old. Since the incident, Bakht Zameen is absconding along with her children.
