The Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army (ISPR) says that Army Chief General Asim Munir’s two-day visit to Iran has been completed.
According to ISPR, in the meetings of the army chief with the military leadership of Iran during his visit to Iran, effective cooperation was agreed to eliminate terrorism in the border areas.
Pak-Iran military chiefs agreed that terrorism is a common threat to the region and both countries, the military leadership expressed its determination to eradicate terrorism through intelligence sharing operations.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at the military headquarters.
The Army Chief also met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian.
During the visit to Iran, the importance of Pakistan-Iran relations for regional peace was also discussed.
