India's style; Referendum for Khalistan in another Canadian city

Ontario: Under the auspices of Sikhs for Justice, voting for the second phase of the Khalistan Referendum took place in Malton, a suburb of Ontario, in which thousands of Sikhs participated. Indian efforts to stop voting failed.

Under the Punjab Referendum Commission, the voting started at nine o’clock in the morning after prayer. Thousands of people had lined up to cast their votes at 8 am before the voting process started.

The enthusiasm of the people who turned out to vote was palpable, including a large number of women and the elderly. During the voting process, the participants also raised loud slogans in favor of Khalistan.

The center designated for voting has been named after Mahendra Singh Khalsa. This is the first referendum vote in Canada since the assassination of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nagar. Hardeep Singh Nagar was the Chief Coordinator of the Khalistan Chapter in Canada.

In Maltan too, India is facing trouble over the referendum for the establishment of Khalistan, there is great tension between extremist Hindus and Sikhs at the local level.

India also tried to stop the referendum in Malton, but these efforts failed due to the refusal of the local government to obstruct the democratic process. Earlier, India has protested the Canadian government for holding the referendum.

According to Sikh leaders, India, fearing the creation of Khalistan, used its agencies to divert Hardeep Singh Nagar from the path. He has alleged that India is also suspected of involvement in the mysterious death of a Sikh leader in Birmingham.
