Pakistan and Iran expressed their determination to end terrorism in the border areas

Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Iran have expressed their commitment to end terrorism in the border areas through intelligence sharing and effective operations against terrorist networks.

According to the report of Radio Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir met with the military leadership of Iran, including the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Muhammad Baqeri, on a two-day visit to Iran.

Military commanders from both sides agreed that terrorism is a common threat to the region in general and to both countries in particular.

The Army Chief also met Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister HE Hussain Amir Abdullah. During the discussion, the importance of Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations for regional peace and stability was highlighted.

On his arrival, the army chief was presented a guard of honor by armed forces of the Iranian armed forces at the military headquarters.
