Mumbai: British singer and actress Jane Birkin has died at the age of 76.
According to French media, the singer was found dead in her room and had been suffering from a heart condition since 2021.
Although born in Britain, Jane Birkin sang in French and was considered a fashion icon in France.
After separating from the British music composer in 1960, she moved to France and, along with singing, also showed her acting chops in several films.
Jean Birken’s affair with French superstar Gainsbourg was also well-known, with whom she sang several songs together.
