The Sindh government’s support price for wheat this season was fixed at Rs 4,000 or Rs 100 per kg.
There was a ban on district deliveries when the new crop of wheat arrived. Wheat went beyond Rs 100 and went up to Rs 134 per kg. Today, the price of raw wheat has reduced by Rs 4 to Rs 5 to Rs 129 per kg, but flour has become expensive in the city.
Not only one flour in the city, the wholesale price of sugar has increased to Rs 134 by justifying the budget.
The rains in Lower Sindh have not been so much that the road network has been affected, but a vegetable seller said this is also the reason why vegetables are expensive.
