Rawalpindi: Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, due to alleged negligence of the staff, the newborn girl was converted.
According to Express News, the gross negligence of the staff of the gynecological ward of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital in Rawalpindi and the adjacent nursery came to light when a one-day-old newborn girl of parents belonging to Kalrasydan was handed over to other parents from the nursery. When the girl disappeared, the condition of the parents became worse.
On the information, the police registered a case of abduction and investigated the hospital records and the footages of the CCTV cameras. The team reached Talagang and shifted the girl to Rawalpindi and handed over the girl to her real parents.
According to SHO Waris Khan Inspector Mirza Javed, there were 20 children present in the hospital that day. The related family has taken them with them while their own daughter remains in the hospital.
According to SHO Mirza Javed, paramedics were sent to Talagang along with ambulances for the safe transfer of the children and the girl was transferred to Rawalpindi and handed over to her real parents.
Dr. Tahir Rizvi of MS Benazir Hospital said that an inquiry has been started regarding the incident, apparently there is negligence on the part of the staff, after the inquiry, departmental action will be taken against those responsible.
CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani appreciated the performance of SHO Waris Khan Inspector Mirza Javed and his team for tracing the girl in a short time and bringing her back from Talagang and handing her over to her real parents.
