Karachi: Names of customs officers facing charges of speed money were added to the stop list.
According to sources, FIA has made significant progress in preventing wanted customs officers from escaping abroad, the names of customs officers involved in corruption have been put on the stop list.
The names of Customs Collectors Saqif Saeed, Usman Bajwa, Aamir Thahim have been put on the FIA stop list, while the names of arrested customs officers Yawar Abbas and Tariq Mehmood have also been included in the stop list.
According to the sources, the name of Chalia smuggler Imran Noorani has also been included in the stop list by FIA. FIA Anti-Corruption Circle has sent the list of wanted Customs Officers to Immigration.
According to the sources, after adding the names of the arrested and wanted officers of the customs to the stop list, it has been suggested to include the said names in the Professional National Identification List (PINL).
It should be noted that to prevent the departure of any citizen abroad, the name can be included in the PINL for one month, while this period can be extended by one more month.
