For the first time in the history of Sri Lanka, the Quran memorization and recitation competition is going to be held in which 1500 male and female students will participate.
According to foreign media, for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka, the Quran memorization and recitation competition is going to be organized by the Saudi Embassy in Colombo with the cooperation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Sri Lanka. 1500 students will participate in this competition.
Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs has divided the competition into four sections, which will include full Quran memorization, 20, 10 and 5 verse memorization, with each graded separately.
1500 students will participate in the competition and 240 students will participate in the final round. 5 people will be selected from each field involved in the competition, the total number of which will be 40. Basically, 8 departments have been designated, out of which four are for male students and four for female students.
The students participating in the competition belong to those madrasas of Quran memorization which are registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Sri Lankan Government. The end of the competition is classified separately.
The final round of the competition will be among 240 participants. The students participating in the competition belong to Madrasahs of Quran Memorization which are registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Government of Sri Lanka. It will be held on July 17 at a hotel in Colombo, which will be attended by visas and senior officials of the Sri Lankan government.
These competitions will be held in the morning and evening for which 30 judges have been appointed who are experts in 10 styles of reading.
