New York: Pakistan raised the issue of sexual violence against women in Occupied Kashmir and Palestine in the Security Council.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Muneer Akram, while addressing the Security Council, condemned the neglect of the atrocities of India and Israel in the UN report on sexual violence and urged the Secretary General to correct the mistakes in the report and for the future. Reports include India and Israel as perpetrators of conflict-related sexual violence.
Pakistani Ambassador Munar Akram said that since the unilateral and illegal actions of India on August 5, 2019, there has been a significant increase in the incidents of harassment and humiliation of women and girls in Occupied Kashmir.
The Pakistani delegate said that the UN report on sexual violence did not include crimes of violence in Occupied Kashmir and the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel. Emphasized.
