Islamabad: The government has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 9 per liter and diesel price by Rs 7 per litre.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar held a press conference regarding the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight and said that the government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel to provide relief to the people, which will be effective from 12 o’clock in the night of July 15. From 1st August.
New prices of petrol and diesel
He said that petrol will be reduced by Rs 9 per liter to Rs 253 per liter while the government has also reduced the price of high speed diesel by Rs 7, after which the price will be reduced to Rs 253 50 paise.
Prices of kerosene and light diesel remain unchanged
Ishaq Dar said that the prices of light diesel and kerosene will remain unchanged.
The finance minister further said that the value of Pakistani rupee has improved after receiving money from IMF loan, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
