Islamabad: Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been granted bail in the May 9 violent protest case.
District and Sessions Court Islamabad heard the case filed in Islamabad Khana police station on May 9 violent protest, in which Additional Sessions Judge Syed Muhammad Haroon Shah accepted the bail application of PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
During the hearing, Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s lawyer Ali Bukhari completed his arguments while the court adjourned the case until the public prosecutor arrived. Later, Shah Mehmood Qureshi appeared before the court and made an appearance.
The lawyer said in the court that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is accused of Emma in the violent protest. Shah Mehmood Qureshi was neither present at the scene nor gave any statement. The police tried to implicate Shah Mahmood Qureshi without any evidence. The court should confirm Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s bail.
