Washington: US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken has welcomed the program approved by the IMF for Pakistan and said that we stand by the side of the Pakistani people in this difficult time.
On the social networking website Twitter, he emphasized that Pakistan should continue working on the IMF program for macroeconomic reforms and sustainable economic recovery.
Donald Bloom, the American ambassador posted in Pakistan, has said that he congratulates Pakistan on the standby agreement with the IMF.
He said that the United States wants to further promote trade with Pakistan, Pakistan is going through an economic crisis, from which our best wishes are with Pakistan.

Earlier, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has received the first installment of one billion 20 million dollars under the loan program from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He confirmed the receipt of the funds to the State Bank of Pakistan.
