Scientists have succeeded in creating a new type of ice that can neither float nor sink.
Scientists have named this new type of ice as medium density amorphous ice. Its irregularity makes it look like liquid water.
Scientists believe that ordinary ice can also take this shape due to tidal forces from planets like Jupiter.
For the experiment, the scientists used a process called ‘ball mining’, in which ordinary ice was mixed with steel balls and stirred in a jar that was cooled to minus 200 degrees.
The ice formed as a result of the experiment was amorphous and resembled water in a liquid state, it was named medium density amorphous ice (MdayA).

The experimental team also suggests that MDA may exist within the icy moons of the outer solar system.
Senior author Professor Christoph Salesman from University College London said that water is the basis of life, our existence depends on it, space missions have been sent to search for it, but it is not considered correct from a scientific point of view. went.
He said that scientists know twenty crystal types of ice but till now only two types of amorphous ice were known which are known as high density and low density ice.
