Islamabad: In the case related to illegal marriage of chairman PTI, the decision of whether the application is admissible or not was reserved.
Sessions Judge Azam Khan heard the illegal marriage case against Chairman PTI in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad. Petitioner Muhammad Hanif’s lawyer Raja Rizwan Abbasi and prosecutor Rana Hassan Abbas appeared in the court.
Raja Rizwan Abbasi, the lawyer of the petitioner, while giving arguments in the court, said that under Section 179, the scope of the case falls in both Lahore and Islamabad. The case can be heard at both places. The illegal marriage that took place in Lahore may have consequences.
Prosecutor Rana Hassan Abbas argued that the state is not a party in this case, to which the petitioner’s lawyer replied that the state is a party in this case. Raja Rizwan Abbasi requested that the verdict be annulled.
It should be noted that civil judge Nasr Minullah declared the illegal marriage case petition against the PTI chairman inadmissible. He had declared the application of the case outside the jurisdiction of the court.
The District and Sessions Court Islamabad has reserved its decision on whether or not the application is admissible in the illegal marriage case against Chairman PTI.
