California: If you thought that the ‘Edit’ feature introduced a few weeks ago by instant messaging application WhatsApp will allow you to edit all types of messages, then you are mistaken.
Meta’s sub-app introduced the ‘Edit’ feature in May, allowing users to edit their message without deleting the entire message if they notice a mistake.
Users can tap and hold their sent message to edit their message. Once the message is selected, press the three dots on the top right hand side and edit the message by selecting the edit option.
But according to experts, it is not possible to edit the sent message in one case and it happens when you write a caption of a picture and send it.
Therefore, according to experts, when a text is sent with a picture as a caption, it should be viewed with caution.
