Sergei Naryshkin, director of Russia’s foreign intelligence service, has confirmed that he spoke with CIA chief William Burns in late June regarding Ukraine.
According to Russia’s official news agency, Sergei Naryshkin said that the talks with the CIA director discussed what should be done in Ukraine.
The telephone conversation between the heads of the intelligence agencies of the United States and Russia continued for an hour.
The director of the Russian intelligence agency said that it is possible to meet with the CIA counterpart.
He said that we did not agree on the meeting while talking on the phone, but there is a possibility, there will be more telephonic conversation.
He said that during our conversation there was no talk about William Burns’s visit to Kiev.
