Rawalpindi, accused posing as Major arrested

The traffic police in Rawalpindi have handed over a fake major posing as an army officer.

According to Express News, Senior Traffic Warden Farooq stopped the vehicle with black glasses while on duty for the purpose of action, the driver revealed himself to be an army major when he asked for documents.

The accused threatened Senior Traffic Warden Muhammad Farooq with dire consequences. On entering the number on the digital application, the number plate of the accused’s vehicle also turned out to be fake.

The senior traffic warden handed over the driver and the vehicle to Civil Line Police Station where a case was registered against the fake officer in Civil Line Police Station.

Senior Traffic Warden Farooq was congratulated and awarded by CTO Taimur Khan. He said that those who take law into their hands do not deserve any concession.
