Pakistani filmmaker Abu Aliha has announced to make a Sindhi language film, the last time a Sindhi language film was released in 1997.
While giving an interview to a private media organization, Mayanaz filmmaker Abu Aliha, who has created films on unique themes like ‘Dadal’ and ‘Javed Iqbal – An Kahi Kahani’, announced to make a film in Sindhi language.
In this regard, while tweeting on a social media platform Twitter, he said that Nirmala, a singer from Umarkot, Tharparkar, came to Karachi from Tharparkar and recorded 2 songs for her film.
While giving an interview to private media, he said that these days he is busy directing his Sindhi feature film ‘Bhupu’, the story of which he has written himself.
Talking about this, he said that the last Sindhi feature film was released in 1997, after 26 years of writing a film in this language.
Narrating the story of the film, he said that the film is based on the ancient Bhupa tribes of Tharparkar and Rajasthan with a heritage dating back hundreds of years. They are often referred to black magic. The film is a claustrophobic thriller whose story revolves around love and survival.
He said that to make the film closer to reality, he has chosen Sindhi actors for the main roles who are well versed in the language, even the supporting actor has been chosen from Tharparkar.
He said that for this he has hired an acting coach who will conduct workshops to enhance his acting skills.
He has said that the film will be shot in Sindhi language while it will be dubbed in Urdu language and it will be released internationally.
