Sufi opera star Saira Peter released a fusion qawwali shot in front of Maulana Rumi’s shrine in Konya, Turkey.
He composed the Sufi Kalam of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi himself and recorded this fusion of Qawwali in front of Maulana Rumi’s Mazar Mubarak.
Saira Peter, a British singer of Pakistani origin, says that Sufi music is becoming popular all over the world.
Saira said that Jalaluddin Rumi moved to Konya with his father at the age of 19 after completing his elementary studies.
He said that Maulana Rumi’s speech is on the one hand a treasure of wisdom and high thoughts and on the other hand it is full of the merits of poetry.
The singer said that there is simplicity in her words, there is also passion, love and expression of unity.
He said that although the main theme of his poetry was spirituality and true love or divine love, he also emphasized on the themes of religious tolerance, belief, morals, generosity, goodness and education.
Saira Peter said that apart from this, he also taught about the importance and reality of love, his teachings show that all external and internal knowledge exists within the human being.
The Pakistani singer said that this is the reason why Sufis emphasize man to find his inner self, Maulana Rumi’s poems draw man towards his origin, i.e. his inner self.
Saira Peter said that keeping all these things in front, he made a fusion of Qawwali, for the shooting of his video, the Department of Culture of Konya supported him.
