Karachi: The Sindh government has launched a crackdown against cotton factory owners who do not buy cotton from cotton farmers at the government rate.
On the instructions of Agriculture Advisor Manzoorsan, more than 10 cotton factories and shops have been sealed for not buying cotton from the farmers at the government rate, while more than 1 lakh fines have been imposed on the factory owners and 20 warnings have been given.
According to the spokesperson of the Sindh Agriculture Department, the court has also issued an arrest warrant for the dealer of Khapro for not paying the official cotton rates to the farmers, while actions were taken in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Tindwala Yar and other cities. are
A complaint cell has also been set up in the office of Director General Agriculture Extension Wing, Hyderabad, where farmers can register their complaints.
