Lahore: In the operation of FIA, the leader of the international human trafficking group was arrested under the guise of pilgrimage.

The anti-human trafficking cell of the Federal Investigation Agency, Gujranwala, arrested the leader of the traffickers in a major operation. The accused received crores of rupees by torturing the victims.

Under the direction of Director FIA Lahore Zone Sarfaraz Work, the crackdown is on to arrest human traffickers. In this regard, the Additional Director Anti-Human Cell took action and arrested the wanted accused in the heinous crime of human trafficking, Rizwan Shah, who was involved in torturing the victims. The accused are also said to be involved in the illegal detention of the victims in Iraq. The accused used to kidnap the victims and demand more money.

The videos of the torture on the victims went viral on social media, after which the authorities have obtained information regarding the families of the victims.

Raids were going on for the last 7 days to arrest the accused Rizwan Shah. The arrest from Nowshera Warkan was carried out using modern and technological resources. The support of the sensitive organization in identifying and arresting the accused is commendable. The accused were working as a gang. Raids are being conducted to arrest his other accomplices.

A case has been registered against the accused under Immigration Ordinance and Trafficking of Migrants Act. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
