2 more people were killed and 25 injured in tribal clashes in Karam

The total number of casualties in the five-day clashes rose to 11

Parachinar: Clashes between tribes have been going on for five days in Karam district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Two more people were killed and 25 were injured in fresh clashes, a total of 11 people were killed and 77 were injured in the five-day clashes.

According to police and hospital sources, the clashes that started five days ago in Bushehra over property disputes are still going on. Apart from Piwar Gidu, Balash Khel Khar Kale, Sada and Para Chamkani Kadman, clashes are taking place between Muqbal and Kunj Alizai in which heavy and automatic weapons are being used.

Two more people have been killed and 25 injured in fresh clashes at different places. Most of the injured have been brought to District Headquarters Hospital Parachinar and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sada in which the condition of several injured is being said to be critical.

Federal Minister Sajid Turi, Deputy Commissioner Syed Saiful Islam Shah and DPO Muhammad Imran say that joint efforts are underway with the tribal elders to stop the clashes in different areas of Karam district and ceasefire has also been implemented in different areas. The cease-fire agreements are being violated due to which the clashes are still going on

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Turi has demanded the provincial and federal government to take immediate steps to stop the clashes in Karam district.

Due to the clashes in Karam district, traffic has almost stopped on the roads including the main highway and there has been a shortage of food, fuel and medicines in the district.
