Rawalpindi: Taking a loan through an online app took the life of an unemployed father of 2.
42-year-old Muhammad Masood, a resident of Rawalpindi, had taken a loan of Rs 13,000 to pay the children’s fees and house rent, which he re-borrowed from another app after being unable to pay it with interest. Fed up with the threats of the lenders, the father of 2 children committed suicide by hanging himself with a fan.
The wife of Muhammad Masood, who committed suicide after taking a loan from an online app, said that her husband had lost his job 6 months ago, social media Easy Loan to pay children’s fees and house rent. Borrowed Rs 13,000 from the app, which after a few days reached Rs 1 lakh with interest.
