Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule for the final of the World Test Championship.
The statement issued by the ICC said that the final of the Test Championship will be played from June 7 to 11 at the historic Oval Cricket Ground, while June 12 has been designated as Reservoir Day.
According to the current ranking of the Test Championship, Australia is at the first position with 135 points while India is at the second position with 99 points.
On the other hand, the 4-match Test series between India and Australia will be played from February 9, after the results of which the points table situation will be clear.
Similarly, Sri Lanka’s two Test matches against New Zealand and South Africa’s West Indies are yet to be played.
In the Test Championship, Sri Lanka is third and South Africa is fourth in the points table while Pakistan is seventh.
It should be noted that the final of the first edition of the ICC World Test Championship was played in South Hampton in 2021, in which New Zealand won the trophy by defeating India by 8 wickets.
