Karachi: Rumors circulating on social media regarding the closure of Capri Cinema have been strongly denied by the management.
According to Express News, the city’s only digital single-screen Capri cinema has been closed till Thursday due to technical reasons, while Tom Cruise’s blockbuster ‘Mission Impossible 7’ and Pakistani film ‘June’ will be screened on Friday.
According to Aziz Khattak, General Manager of Capri Cinema, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the repair and checking of the cinema machinery was very necessary due to the sudden technical failure of the film projector machine, due to which Capri Cinema was decided to be closed from Monday to Thursday. The cinema hall will be reopened from Friday.
The cinema management says that the news of closure of Capri cinema is baseless, it is the only cheapest entertainment place for the citizens of Karachi where tickets are still available at Rs 200.
