Mumbai: Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi says that she did not face any discrimination in the film industry for being a Muslim.
Actress Huma Qureshi in an interview termed Bollywood as a ‘very’ safe place and said that people in Bollywood don’t mean anything by their name, they are known only on the basis of work. Being a Muslim never faced any kind of discrimination.
Huma Qureshi also said that while living in India, she did not feel that she was different from other citizens due to being a Muslim, but it is not that there were no problems in Bollywood. There is nepotism in the industry and wrong demands were also made, but this happens in every sector of the society.
The Bollywood actress added that she never thought about losing weight and was not pressured about it, but admitted that actresses in Bollywood are always under pressure to look beautiful and attractive.
Huma Qureshi said that the content of ‘OTT’ platforms used a lot of bad language and also showed nudity.
