New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested 3 railway employees who caused the train accident in the eastern state of Odisha on charges of murder and destruction of evidence.

It should be noted that in June last month, nearly 300 people were killed in the collision of three trains in eastern Odisha, which was declared as the worst incident in Indian history. The train accident occurred when a loaded passenger train was mistakenly diverted onto a loop line and collided with a stationary freight train loaded with iron ore.

The Central Bureau of Investigation said in a statement that three railway employees have been charged with murder and destruction of evidence in the train collision incident. The statement identified the men as two signal engineers and a technician employed by the Indian Railways.
