Tokyo: Japan Airlines has launched a linen rental service for its passengers as an eco-friendly move.
Called ‘Any Wear, Anywhere’, the service can be used even before the flight and will run experimentally until August 2024. Now from the website, tourists and businessmen can book clothes of their size and choice before the flight, which will be delivered to their given address on arrival.
If you want to buy three shirts and two pants, you have to pay 4000 Japanese yen, which is about 7800 rupees in Pakistani rupees. Thus a difficulty of busy businessmen and frequent travelers can be simplified.
The reason is that to make space in the travel bag, the clothes have to be folded in several ways, which consumes a lot of time. In this way, the clothes will be freed from its burden and you can travel freely. However, the company has said that this is an environmentally friendly process that will also reduce carbon emissions as the weight reduction in the suitcase will also save on fuel for the aircraft itself.
After pre-booking the clothes, you can write down the address of your establishment, hotel, or place of stay and the company will deliver the clothes there immediately after your arrival. You can keep these clothes for two weeks and return them to the company without washing them.
