California: 5 crore accounts were created within 24 hours on the social media platform ‘Threads’ introduced by Metta yesterday. But users are in for a shock when they find out what they might have to pay for deleting their account on the platform.
Supplemental Privacy Policy In Meta, users can deactivate their Threads profile at any time, but users’ profiles will be terminated when their Instagram account is terminated.
Meta explained its policy by stating that the threads profile is part of the user’s Instagram account.
As soon as the news came to the notice, users flooded Twitter with complaints and called the platform a scam.
He said that he cannot delete his Threads account without deleting his Instagram account. The company knew that people would immediately dislike it, so they created this hoax.
Another user said that they have already deactivated their Threads account but the account cannot be deleted without deleting the Instagram account.
Another user thanked for the warning and asked not to create an account on Threads.
Instagram head Adam Mozzeri explained the situation, saying that users can disable their Threads profile, doing so will hide their Threads profile and content, and users can delete individual Threads posts. All this can be done without deleting the Instagram account.
