Karachi: The price of sugar has increased in the wholesale market of Shahr Quaid and a 50 kg sack of sugar has become expensive by Rs 250 in a week.
In the wholesale market, a 50 kg bag of sugar increased from Rs 6,250 to Rs 6,500. The price of sugar in the city increased by five rupees per kg during the week.

The wholesale price of sugar in Karachi has reached Rs 130 per kg, before the budget the price of sugar was Rs 121 per kg. The retail price of sugar is Rs 132 to 133 per kg.
