Oceangate, the company that owns the submersible ‘Titan’, has suspended all activities to display the wreckage of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean.
“Oceangate has suspended all exploration and commercial operations,” Oceangate said in a brief message on its website.
The company’s website, on the other hand, still includes a description of other campaign offerings, including a tour of the Titanic wreck, along with the major releases of the campaigns.
It should be noted that last month, the submarine ‘Titan’ exploded while going to the bottom of the ocean to show the wreckage of the Titanic.
The submarine ‘Titan’ was presumably destroyed about 1 hour 45 minutes after diving towards the Titanic on June 18.
Officials confirmed on June 22 that the Titan had suffered a catastrophic crash.
In this accident, all 5 people on board the submarine were killed, including the CEO of the company, Stockton Rush, two Pakistani Prince Dawood and his son Sulaiman Dawood were also killed in the accident.
The company charged $250,000 per person on the Titan submarine for the 111-year-old remains of the Titanic, about 12,500 feet below sea level.
