Islamabad: The federal government has formed a new management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), headed by Zaka Ashraf.
The federal cabinet also approved the formation of a new management committee of PCB through a circulation summary. After which Zaka Ashraf has been appointed as the Chairman of the Management Committee of PCB.
Apart from this, Election Commissioner Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana has been removed and Mahmood Iqbal Khakwani has been appointed as the new Election Commissioner in his place.
According to the notification, this committee has been formed for four months, in which Kaleemullah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Mohammad Mossadegh, Azmat Parvez, Khurram Karim Soomro, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramde and Zulfikar Malik will serve as members.
On the other hand, the first meeting of the management committee of PCB was convened in Lahore on Thursday. It should be noted that the issue of the election of PCB chairman and eligibility of Zaka Ashraf is pending in the courts.
