Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has filed an acquittal in the money laundering reference.
Amjad Pervaiz Advocate filed a petition for acquittal from the money laundering reference in the Accountability Court Lahore on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz.
It has been argued in the petition that NAB made a false and fabricated reference of money laundering. Assets are as per law, declared in FBR and Election Commission. NAB has no evidence of any kind.
In the petition filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, it is said that there is no possibility of proving the case against them. The accountability court is requested to exonerate Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz from the reference.
Accountability Court Judge Qamar-ul-Zaman heard the petitions and issued notices to NAB for July 19.
