Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has briefed China’s Governor Peng Chunxu on the progress made with the IMF.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has met with Chinese Foreign Minister Peng Chunxu during which he said that Pakistan has successfully reached a staff level agreement with the IMF.
The finance minister also informed the governor of China about the stability in the economy and said that the government is taking steps to maintain the economic stability.
The Finance Minister appreciated China’s support for Pakistan on several fronts.
On this occasion, the Governor of China appreciated the steps taken by the government of Pakistan to restore economic stability.
The Chinese affairs minister assured that the Chinese government would continue to support Pakistan.
In the meeting, discussions were also held on strengthening bilateral relations in the economic, commercial and financial sectors.
