Karachi: A wonderful summer gift, jamon has many medicinal benefits along with its chemical properties. Thankfully, organic jam of very good quality is available in Pakistan.
There are two types of jamuns, one is mostly purple in color and the pulp is white and the other is black jamun which has purple pulp inside. In Ayurvedic medicine, its leaves and bark have also been found useful in many ailments.
Useful in digestion
It is a useful food in stomach and intestinal diseases. Vitamin A and Vitamin C present in Jaman improves overall bowel movements and other conditions. It is also useful in stomach gas and constipation.
Weight loss
Jamun contains an extraordinary amount of fiber and is very low in calories. Adding it to your diet can help you lose weight.
Eating black jackfruit reduces thirst and keeps blood sugar under control. Hakamas recommend its root and leaves in the treatment of diabetes.
Protects the lungs and heart
Rich in antioxidants and other ingredients, jamon reduces chest secretions. Eating it cleans the respiratory tract and improves the flow of breath. Eating jamun reduces cholesterol and keeps blood pressure normal. Some doctors believe that it also reduces the narrowing of the arteries of the heart.
