Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab is stopping misuse of health card

Lahore: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has said that the government is taking steps to stop misuse of health card in the province.

Talking to the media on the occasion of visiting the Akbar Chowk flyovers project and reviewing other development works, the Caretaker Chief Minister said that the health card is not being closed in the province. The government is taking steps to prevent misuse of health cards.

He said that the health card will have free treatment in government hospitals while 70% free treatment will be available in private hospitals. Heart operations are definitely not being stopped on the health card. Treatment of the poor with health card will continue as usual.

Mohsin Naqvi gave details and added that 100% free treatment is being given to the patient on the health card in the government hospital and 70% free treatment in the private hospital. I don’t want to go into the details of misuse of health card in the past, God willing, if there is an emergency, I myself would like to go to the government hospital for treatment.

Talking about the development projects, the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab said that the work is progressing well and the project will be completed within the stipulated period, there will be little disruption due to rains. Work was done 24 hours even on Eid days. No compromise will be made on development works. Technical clearance certificates are being obtained from Nespak for all development works.

He said that the report of water accumulation in Kalma Chowk underpass will be received tomorrow, after which action will be taken against those responsible after determining the reasons. Timely completion of the ongoing projects is my priority and we will ensure transparency in all cases. Extraordinary work in a short span of time on development projects is in front of everyone.

Mohsin Naqvi said that work on Shahdara and other projects did not stop during Eid holidays. The contractor did not let the work stop by paying 3 times the labor. Will be able to achieve the goal of timely completion of provincial capital projects. A new record has been established regarding cleanliness in Lahore. In this regard, Ministers Aamir Mir, Azfar Nasir, Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Deputy Commissioner showed unprecedented performance.

Talking about the performance of the police in the province, he said, “Tell me to whom the Lahore Police is giving the protocol.” The crime graph is coming down, but it has not come down from the level it should have come down.
