Karachi: Dairy mafia illegally increased the price of milk by 20 rupees in Karachi, milk started selling at 230 rupees per liter in the city.
The city administration and the Sindh government failed to implement the official milk price of Rs 180.
The difference between the official and illegal price of milk increased to Rs 50 per litre. Dairy mafia is making an illegal profit of Rs 50 per liter of milk.
According to sources in the dairy sector, an illegal profit of Rs 25 crore is being made by the mafia consisting of wholesalers and dairy farmers from the sale of 50 lakh liters per day.
