London: The human brain is an extraordinarily complex organ that consumes the largest amount of oxygen in the body and is connected to the rest of the body. Dr. Hanna Bjornova from Bournemouth College in the UK suggests that by consuming these foods, we can keep our brains healthy and energetic.

According to him, nature has given many such foods which are no less than a tonic for our brain and nerves. Their introduction goes something like this.

Fatty fish

Fish like salmon, mackerel and sardines are rich in fat. They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids keep the brain energetic and youthful. Eating them increases the blood flow to the brain, improves memory and slows down the aging process.

The benefits of omega-3 fatty acids have been scientifically proven. In one study, when 2,000 elderly people were given omega-3 fatty acids, their risk of dementia was reduced by 44 percent.

Eggs, pulses and green leafy vegetables

There are eight types of B vitamins that are no less than brain tonics and all of them can be found in eggs, pulses and dark green leafy vegetables.

Experts insist that whole grains, dark green leafy vegetables, eggs, fish, beans and pulses all contain B vitamins. These vitamins provide energy to the brain cells and also improve our mood. This is the reason why you must include them in your diet.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is found in milk, butter, oranges, fish and other foods or their consumption helps in the formation of vitamin D. It is also important to spend some time in the sun because the sun helps the body make vitamin D and also reduces depression.

Nuts, olive oil and cabbage

Broccoli has the status of a superfood. We all know the benefits of olive oil. Apart from this, we are all aware of the mental benefits of almonds and walnuts. Their continuous and proper consumption in the diet can be very useful for our brain.

Interestingly, vitamin E is no less than a treasure for the brain and the above foods are rich in vitamin E.

On the other hand, experts suggest that the mind should be used continuously. Solve puzzles, read a book, keep walking and exercising.
