The death toll from the heat wave in the US state of Texas has risen to 13, with most of the deaths occurring near the border with Mexico.
According to the American news agency, the heat is at its peak in the two major states of the country, in which Texas has been affected the most, where the temperature has reached 48 degrees Celsius. Cracks appeared on the streets of Houston due to the intense heat.
A 14-year-old boy hiking in Big Bend National Park in the state of Texas fell unconscious due to extreme heat and exhaustion.
The father died in an unfortunate car accident while rushing to reach the National Park after hearing that his son had fainted.
The death of a young boy in a heat wave brings the death toll from the extreme heat in Texas to 13.
Due to extreme heat in two states of America, more than 50 people suffering from various diseases had to be admitted to the hospital, the majority of whom are over 55 years old.
It should be noted that 112 people have lost their lives in the heat wave in Mexico so far.
