Peshawar: Despite the clear orders of the PESCO authorities, the load shedding of electricity in the provincial capital Peshawar has continued since the day of Eid, against which the public has also protested.
According to Express News, PESCO officials had announced that load shedding will not be done on Eid throughout the province, but despite this clear announcement, the load shedding process could not stop. In the urban areas of Peshawar, the duration of load shedding is 6 to 8 hours at that time. While the duration of load shedding in suburban areas is from 12 to 16 hours.
In this regard, PESCO officials say that at present, 3600 megawatts of electricity is required for the province, whereas in the current situation, only 1800 megawatts of electricity is being supplied to the province due to which load shedding cannot be controlled.
On the other hand, the people of Charsadda Road strongly protested and raised slogans against electricity load shedding. A large number of citizens participated in the protest and blocked the road for all types of traffic.
The protestors said that Pesco people burnt us in the heat, there is no electricity for 16 hours, load shedding has made life difficult, there is not even drinking water in the area, severe load shedding of electricity is also being done on Eid. .
