New Delhi: A passenger bus going to Pune in India overturned after hitting a pillar, as a result of which a fire broke out and 26 passengers were burnt to ashes.
According to Indian media, the passenger bus accident took place on the Samrudhi Mahamarg expressway in Maharashtra late at night due to high speed. The bus hit a pole while taking a turn and overturned.
The police say that the door of the passenger bus was closed due to overturning after hitting the pole and a fire broke out in it. The passengers could not find their way out and the bus was completely gutted by the time the fire brigade arrived.
